Simon was born in 1990, in Salon de Provence, South of France, and grew up in a village called Bramejean. Aged 18, he moved to Paris to study at a fashion school but quitted one month later, after losing his mother. In 2009, aged 19, he launched The brand JACQUEMUS as a tribute to his mother’s maiden name. In 2015, he won the LVMH Special Prize. In May 2017, he showed his collection “Les Santons de Provence” for the second time as part of the event ”Marseille, je t’aime” and three other exhibitions in Marseille. He also celebrated the launched of his book, in collaboration with 13 artists, to pay a tribute to Marseille and the South of France. Simon draws his inspiration from his native Provence and the Mediterranean region. The JACQUEMUS woman is inspired by the women of his life. Each collection tells a story and is a reference to his memories. His catwalks are imbued with poetry, provoking an emotion that goes beyond the clothes.
